Eman Asim

We Asked Eman to Describe her journey in cricket. This is how it went:

"I first started playing cricket in the summer of 2021. Growing up, I played many different sports at a competitive level, but interestingly, cricket wasn’t one I ever thought of or even liked, at least not until I tried it myself. That summer, I needed to complete a school project that required me to stay active. Since football, my main sport, was on break during the summer, I had to find something new to do and write about. That’s when cricket came into the picture. My mother had come across Alby Zalmi on a Facebook page and encouraged me to give it a try. I joined with the intention of only playing that summer, until football resumed, but something changed. I fell in love with the sport, with the club, and with the community I found there. The journey has taught me a lot, and I’ll continue to learn a lot. In hindsight, I’m really grateful I decided to give it a try all those years ago."
