Mashal started out in football, playing for about 7 years before switching to cricket at the age of 14–15. Coming from a family and circle of friends where cricket was everything, it was only natural that one day his uncle told him, “Now it’s time to play cricket.” From that very first match, Mashal never looked back – football was left behind, and cricket became his new passion.

He made his debut season in 2020 at U15 level, where he announced himself with a brilliant 99 (63) against Stockholm CC. From there, he moved up to U19 and now features in the Allsvenskan, consistently proving his talent at every level.

Mashal has earned a reputation as a clutch player who delivers under pressure. For Alby Zalmi, he has saved games on many occasions – none more iconic than the 2023 ECN, when with 4 runs needed off the last ball against Jinnah, he sealed victory with a six. In the Superettan, playing for Alby Hunters, he produced one of the most memorable knocks in the league’s history: a match-winning 120* with 11 sixes against Södertälje CC.

From U15 promise to U19 success and now shining in the Allsvenskan, Mashal’s journey is proof of dedication, talent, and love for the game. His story is still being written – and it’s only getting bigger.
